Beholding the Awe of The Jimmer

When I was a young Sacromentan, the Kings were all that was good in the basketball world. The Lakers were evil, and that was about that. Then I grew into a Provoan, and I realized that the NBA could never rival college basketball, and that the Kings couldn't compare to my BYU Cougars.

One day, I beheld the greatest Cougar of all, Jimmer Fredette, and he did score 30+ points many times, and all but Michelle Peralta loved him. And then he graduated. And once the Sacramento Kings drafted him, my two beloved basketball worlds became one.

Enough introduction. Here are some awesome photos from a Kings game last year I went to with my father and twin bro!

Rockin' the Jimmer jersey (that we thought would be black, but asian e-bayers are bound to surprise)!

Sac-Town!

Gameday ticket and program.

Show up early boys!

Sitting court-side (for a few minutes), looking up.

Sitting by the rack-o-balls.

Behold, the Greatness of Jimmer!

Blake Griffin makes an appearance.

Warming up.

This guy is taller than I am.

Shots! Shots! Shots shots shots!

Testing the hammy?

I missed the dancing shot. Unfortunately.

Back to my real seats!

Ready for tip-off.

#7 Jimmer Mania, the sign reads.

THREEEEE!!!

Timout! The Kings even lead the Clippers at halftime, thanks for 4 long bombs from Fredette himself.

Sure, the Kings lost. They still suck. But as long as their terrible Maloof overlords don't move them out of the city, I will continue to be a fan. And if they do, my jersey will be a piece of sad sarcasm, but still wearable for the irony. Or whatever word is most appropriate there (Russ?).

Can't wait to go back again. In fact, I'm visiting Russell in Seattle this October. Maybe he'll take me to a Kings-SuperSonics game.....

The Move into the New House (January 2012)

The first time we saw our house...

Nice house?

The back yard looks big.

Could use some work. Grass?

Master bath looks small.

 Love the upstairs family room!

Nice upstairs bath.

Cool stairs w/ a chandelier (no I can't spell that word).

Wes likes it!

Big empty rooms.

Carly is digging what would be her window.

Pretty awesome window view!

Pretty awesome view out of the front window as well!

We really like the layout of the home.

Easy to get around.

The kitchen is plenty big enough (with hardwood flooring!).

The basement is huge, but will need a TON of work.

Some walls are mostly done already.

Basement windows (needed grates).

A sink? This won't be installed for year!

And that was enough. We bought the place! Moved in, have put a ton of work into it, and are very happy. But that can all go into another blog. Questions?

Christmas 2011

I'm going to try to start adding pictures from my phone onto this blog. And since this phone was basically my Christmas present to myself last year, I might as well start there...

The Provo Christmas tree.

Wes, looking dapper in a black turtle-neck.

Happy Carly tearing open a gift.

Unsuspecting Lauren cuddling her 1-month old.

Such a little guy. Born 11-09-11.

Carly playing Santa.

Wes unwrapping a present.

It's a Fire Truck!

The Big gift... A Train Table!

Picked up by Daddy, up in Ogden...

Cal pal chillaxes.

Boom. Merry Christmas! (just a little late)

More to come, I think. If people like these and actually comment positive things on them and such.
